Pumpkins After Dark
The Pumpkins are coming! Pumpkins After Dark is making its debut at Alameda County Fairgrounds this fall with an unforgettable Halloween experience. Explore a magical walking trail featuring over 10,000 hand-carved pumpkins that light up the night. Enjoy treats & sweets, live pumpkin carving demonstrations, themed photo opportunities and surprises from our roaming performers. Perfect for families, couples and groups of friends, Pumpkins After Dark is the must-see Halloween event of the season!
Wildlife Diaries: Encounters with Bay Area Fauna
Wildlife Diaries: Encounters with Bay Area Fauna opens with a reception on Thursday, October 8, from 6:30–8:30pm at the Hazel Wolf Gallery (2150 Allston Way, Berkeley). The show features large prints of bobcats, mountain lions, badgers, and other Bay Area wildlife.
Many of the photos being displayed, including weasels, otters, owls, and of course many bobcats, were photographed in the Tri-Valley region!
It's free and open to the public!
The Great Elephant Migration
Thirty life-sized elephant sculptures arrive in the Tri-Valley
Each elephant is handcrafted by Indigenous artisans in southern India from an invasive weed, and modeled on a real elephant they live alongside.
They are built from lantana camara, an invasive weed that chokes out native plants and drives wildlife from its habitat. Clearing it helps the forest recover.
The herd has been on the road since 2024, with stops in Newport, New York, and Boston. Now their next stop is Livermore, the herd's only stop in California this year.

Join Winemaker Brett Fikse for an intimate guided e-bike tour through the historic Concannon estate during the heart of harvest season. As the vineyard transitions into fall, golden leaves, crisp morning air, and the excitement of harvest create a truly unforgettable backdrop for this small-group experience.
Your morning begins with a welcome reception and fitting for a premium Pedego electric bike before setting out across the estate. Designed for all experience levels, the ride follows scenic vineyard paths and select estate blocks, offering access to areas rarely seen by guests.
Along the way, Brett will share insights into the 2026 harvest, vineyard management, and the winemaking process, giving guests a firsthand look at what makes this season so important. You'll visit our Chardonnay vineyard along Arroyo Mocho Creek, enjoy stunning vineyard views, and learn about Concannon's role in shaping Livermore Valley wine country.
Following the ride, gather beneath our historic Grape Arbor for a curated tasting flight of estate wines paired with an individual charcuterie box. Relax, ask questions, and enjoy the beauty of harvest season surrounded by the vineyards that produced the wines in your glass.

This October, the Livermore Valley wine community invites you to make it a weekend — a carefully curated lineup of experiences you won't find anywhere else, dreamed up by the winemakers, chefs, and growers who know this valley best. These aren't your standard tastings. They're the events you're not going to want to miss.
It all starts with decadence. Taste Our Terroir returns Thursday night to kick off the weekend in style — and this year it moves indoors to the newly renovated Concannon Vineyard Event Center. Twenty winery-and-restaurant teams go head-to-head with their best pairings, and for the first time ever, we're introducing the Industry Best award, where the competing teams cast votes for their favorite pairing of the night. You'll vote too — for Best Red and Best White — before the celebration spills outside for an awards ceremony and dancing under the stars.
From there, the weekend unfolds with something new at every turn:
Friday — Sip and savor your way through Cheese, Chocolate & Cheers!, step into a literary happy hour at A Taste of Stories, then trade your glass for boots at Cattle, Cabernet & Country under the stars at McGrail Vineyards.
Saturday — Walk the vines with legendary grower Julio Covarrubias & Friends at Taste YOUR Terroir, bring Bourbon Street to wine country at A New Orleans Afternoon, then slip into the 1920's at Barrels & Bootleggers: A Speakeasy Wine Affair.
Sunday — Toast the rise of Livermore sparkling at Bubbles, Brunch & B-Sides, cuff your pants for a harvest grape stomp at Stomp, Pour & Pair, or take a deep dive into aromatic whites at 2 Winemakers, 1 Aromatic Journey.
Halloween Bash at Concannon
This Halloween, we’re transforming the Concannon Barrel Room for a full night of costumes, music, dancing, and a few surprises.
The Barrel Room will get a Halloween takeover with upgraded décor, animatronics, fog, lighting, and effects throughout the space. AmosPro DJ will keep the party going all night.
Come dressed up, bring your friends, and grab food from local food trucks throughout the evening. The bars will be pouring Concannon and Cuda Ridge wines, along with beer.
TVNPA 2026 Power of Giving Celebration

Community Forum: What’s Happening in South Livermore’s Vineyards?
Livermore’s winegrowing heritage is a treasured part of our identity, but recent concerns about vineyards being pulled out have left many wondering what the future holds.
Tri-Valley Conservancy (TVC) is hosting a public community forum to bring together local experts to shed light on the real challenges facing South Livermore’s vineyards and what’s being done to protect them.

The program will feature structured presentations from:
Wine industry experts, offering insight into current market trends, vineyard transitions, and pressures shaping the future of South Livermore.
Local vineyard and winery owners, sharing firsthand experiences and the realities behind recent land use decisions.
TVC staff, providing a clear explanation of conservation easements, including how they work, what they protect, and common misconceptions.
A moderated Q&A will follow, allowing for thoughtful community input. A short reception will close the evening.
