Winners Announced for 2025 Views in the Valley Photo Competition

Every year, TVC invites local photographers of all ages to capture what makes the Tri-Valley special - from rolling hills and vineyards to wildlife and iconic regional vistas – as part of our Views in the Valley photo competition

And let us say, this year’s submissions were absolutely stunning! We received over 100 photos that celebrated the natural beauty of our region in creative ways. Our panel of judges had a tough job narrowing it down, and over 350 members of the public voted to select the “Barry Zupan” People’s Choice Award winners!

Taking 1st Place was Spring Barn, by James McCabe.

“I am honored and humbled to have had "Spring Barn" chosen for first place in the Views in the Valley photo competition. On reviewing the other finalists submissions, the depth of talent is impressive, and all are clearly worthy of recognition.

It's always better to be a lucky photographer than a technically excellent photographer in my opinion. On this morning on the Dublin Grade I was in the right place at the right time, the light was right, the sky was right, and my wife was on point - "That would make a great photo".

So... Lucky in every way!” - James
