Volunteer Job Descriptions
Celebrate the Valley (CTV)
TVC holds CTV every year in September/October. This year it will be held at the Casa Real Event Center on October 2, 2008. The theme for this celebration is "Jeans and Jewels". TVC needs help before, during and after the event to present CTV each year. Volunteers help plan the event, take tickets, address letters, and do just about everything else necessary to put on our CTV event.
Stewardship
One to four times a year, head out with TVC to visit the properties protected by Conservation Easements. To participate in the TVC Stewardship program, you complete a short training session. Call our Associate Director, Laura Mercier, at 925 449-8706 ext. 205.
Events & Exhibits
Each year, we need volunteers to spend a few hours at the Tri-Valley Conservancy's exhibit booth at the Livermore and Pleasanton's Farmer's Market and other sites, answering questions and distributing information to the public. This is a fun job where you get to meet a lot of people. Join us.
Outreach/Newsletter
News and Views, the newsletter of the Tri-Valley Conservancy, is published three times a year to inform our members and friends about the current issues and events in the Tri-Valley. Artists, editors, writers, photographers and other contributors are needed to produce the newsletter as well as press releases and other public relations materials.
Office/Clerical
Help us out with mailings, filing, data entry, and archival collections. Is there a computer "guru" out there who will help us out? Whether you have skills to share, or time to spend with us stuffing envelopes, writing out thank you cards and Holiday cards, we always need help around the office.
