2012

Livermore Valley Uncorked”

April 29, 2012

The Tri-Valley Conservancy (TVC) is holding its third annual Livermore Valley wine competition in April 29, 2012.  With a focus on the Livermore Valley wine industry, we would like to bring awareness to the top wine buyers who control the purchasing for wine shops, wine bars, restaurants and other retail distribution points to the quality of Livermore Valley wines.

Entry Rules and Entry Form

Judging will be done by a panel, all qualified wine judges, including local wine buyers and winemakers, using a blind, consensual, numerically-based procedure to ensure competitive integrity.

Awards will be given only on a merit basis.

The deadline for entry is April 20, 2012, without exceptions.  The judging will be done The Wine Steward, Pleasanton, California. The judging is not open to the public.  The major awards to be given are: Best of White, Red and Dessert; plus Best in Show.

All wines to be entered in the contest must be made with grapes grown in the Livermore Valley AVA only.  The wines must also be available to the buying public and entrants are asked to submit their Signature and/or best wines.  A maximum of five (5) wines from each winery are eligible for entry.

For details of the Entry Rules click here

Entries will be accepted no later than Friday, April 20, 2012, delivered to Tri-Valley Conservancy office along with a completed entry form.  Please call Tri- Valley Conservancy to advise their staff that you are coming and to expect the delivery of your wines.  Their phone number is (925) 449-8706.
